Role Overview:

We are looking for a Palo Alto / Python Automation Engineer to support a client project involving firewall management, automation, networking, and change delivery.

This role is suitable for someone with strong hands-on technical capability, solid networking fundamentals, and the ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls
  • Work with Palo Alto Panorama for firewall policy management and administration
  • Develop Python scripts and automation to support operational and security tasks
  • Assist with firewall rule changes, reviews, and change implementation
  • Work within structured change management processes
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and connectivity issues
  • Communicate clearly with technical teams, client stakeholders, and project teams
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Support environments where IT and OT systems may interact

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama
  • Python development and automation skills
  • Solid understanding of IT networking and routing fundamentals
  • Experience working within change management processes
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Good communication skills
  • Working-level English
  • Some level of exposure to OT environments

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Palo Alto Cortex
  • Experience with Cortex Data Lake
  • Azure experience, particularly in cloud networking, security, or infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to OT or industrial environments

Location:

  • Candidates must be based in the UK or EU
  • UK or EU citizenship is required
